Special Projects

Established in 2006, Fliptease has had the pleasure of working with amazing artists, businesses and communities. Below are a couple of our favourite special projects.

Case studies:

VJzoo- 2008 to present.

We first met Kat and Jasper of VJzoo in 2008 working on The WA Art Gallery’s sell out Art in Bloom. Working closely with the amazing Craig Ingrey and VJzoo we were able to create a breathtaking installation of colour movement, and live visuals, in a successful effort to recreate a live version of the controversial work of Alexandre Evariste Fragonard’s ‘Girl on a Swing’.
Since then it has been has been a pleasure to work with Kat and Jasper, from guerrilla projections, to Café Culture and La Belle Epoch 2009. You can check out these amazingly talented VJs at www.vjzoo.com.

The Voodoo Lounge

Voted Best Adult Entertainment Venue in Australia 2010 and Best Adult Venue 2009-http://www.thevoodoolounge.com.au/
Since 2008 Fliptease has featured in the After Midnight Show. With a great venue and great staff the Voodoo Lounge has been a perfect way to to develop cabaret performances that now are performed all over the world.

Leederville Hotel 2008 to 2011

After the hugely successful 2008 Red Party (Charity Event for Aids Orphans run by fabulous UWA medical students) Fliptease were asked to present regular installations and performances at the Leederville Hotel. More than two years on you can still see us kicking it at the Leedy most Wednesday and Saturday nights. (Which we love!)
The brief we were given was to create interesting and captivating talking points with out feature acts. This has been a fantastic draw and makes The Leederville Hotel one of the most fun and spontaneous venues we’ve worked in. If you want to come a check out a tiny bit of what we do come and see us at the Leederville Hotel.

Access Circus Program – Ngaanyatjarra School- Dust Up 2009/2011

One of our passions is working with regionally isolated youth in remote Australia. So when we were contacted to run a short project for mentoring programs in Warbarton, WA (1600km east of Perth), we were delighted. A week of fireworks, circus workshops and performances, wore us out a little bit….. This has been one of Fliptease’s most cherished side projects. We look forward to continuing to work out in the desert for many years to come.
