Renee Wingfield – Creative Director & Founder
Renee established her company, Fliptease, in 2006 and since then it has produced countless shows and spectacles which Renee has conceived, written and performed in with her troupe of skilled artists.
Using her knowledge from her advanced rigging ticket and years of experience in circus performance, Renee takes pride in her emphasis on engaging safe, resilient and educated professionals who are experts in their field. In her role as director of Fliptease, Renee has mentored and developed dozens of artists through their performance careers.
Some of her proudest achievements have included: directing and producing the 2018 on-field spectacle activation for Lotterywest which was performed by her team of 25 artists to over 50 000 fans at an Eagles home game at Optus Stadium working with more than 6 corporate stakeholders to deliver the performance; her artist input and performance at the 2018 opening of Perth’s Yagan Square; two seasons of Twilight Flyers – Flying Trapeze Classes in Scarborough 2015-16 with over 5 000 participants; and building the FringeWorld Mermaid and Water Performance from a small scale spectacle to become one of the most iconic and cherished shows of the WA Artrage program.
In 2019 Renee was also a recipient of the renowned Business News’ 40 under 40 Award for her contribution to the arts in Western Australia and a state finalist for the Telstra Women’s Business awards. In her spare time Renee sits as Vice Chairman on the Connolly Residents Association Board.
Renee has been producing spectacle based shows for local and regional communities, corporate installations and family friendly productions for over a decade in Western Australia. She hopes to continue creating and performing with large scale work that shares stories and touches people’s hearts for many years to come.
